EMDR Therapy in New Hampshire
Distressing experiences can continue to affect emotions, relationships, sleep, concentration, and daily life. EMDR is a structured psychotherapy approach that may help some adults process difficult experiences and reduce how disruptive they feel in the present. H&H Counseling provides EMDR in person in Tilton and through telehealth across New Hampshire when clinically appropriate.
What Is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Treatment follows a structured process that can include preparation, coping and grounding resources, identifying an experience to work on, bilateral stimulation, and collaborative review. You remain awake and aware and may pause at any time. EMDR does not erase memories and is not appropriate for every concern.
EMDR and Trauma Therapy
Trauma Therapy is H&H's broader service for adults affected by trauma. EMDR is one specific method that may be used when appropriate. Lauren Rush, MLADC provides EMDR for adults as part of H&H Counseling's New Hampshire services.
